Privacy Policy for Notivault

App name: Notivault
Developer: Recreation Technologies Team
Effective date: 29 August 2026
Last updated: 29 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Recreation Technologies Team ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Notivault mobile application (the "App"). Notivault keeps a private, on-device history of the notifications your device receives. The App is free and is supported by advertising and uses standard analytics and crash-reporting services, described below.

Summary: The content of your notifications never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to any advertising or analytics provider. The App uses Google AdMob (ads), Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics, which collect device-level and usage data (such as an advertising identifier, IP address, and app-usage events). A one-time Notivault Pro purchase removes ads. There is no account or sign-in.

1. Information Stored Only on Your Device

Using Android's Notification Access permission (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE), the App reads notifications posted on your device and stores the following in private, app-only storage:

This information is never transmitted to us or anyone else, is excluded from cloud backup (android:allowBackup="false"), and is deleted when you clear your history or uninstall the App. If you use the Export feature, a copy is written only to a location you choose through the Android system file picker.

2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

2.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and processes your device advertising ID, IP address, general device information (model, OS version, language), and ad-interaction data (impressions, clicks) to serve and measure ads. In the EEA/UK, a Google-provided consent form (User Messaging Platform) is shown before personalised ads; you may choose non-personalised ads. See policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

2.2 Firebase Analytics (product analytics)

Collects anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example: app opened, search used, Pro screen viewed, export started), an app-instance ID, the advertising ID, device/OS information, and coarse location inferred from IP address (country/region). Notification content, message text, OTP codes, and the list of apps that send you notifications are never included.

2.3 Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)

On a crash, sends a stack trace, device state (model, OS, memory, app version) and a Crashlytics installation identifier so we can fix the bug. Stack traces contain no notification content. The same technical log is also stored on your device and can be viewed or exported from Settings ▸ About.

2.4 Google Play Billing (Notivault Pro)

If you purchase Pro, Google Play processes the payment. We receive an anonymised purchase token confirming the entitlement — never your card number or billing address.

2.5 Google Play (in-app updates)

The App checks with Google Play whether an update is available and may prompt you to install it.

3. How Third Parties Use This Data

AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play are operated by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy and, for Firebase, the Firebase data-processing terms. We use the data only to run ads, understand aggregate product usage, and diagnose crashes.

4. Your Choices

5. Data Retention and Deletion

On-device history follows your retention setting (7, 30, 90 days, 1 year, or forever), is purged permanently after a short undo window, and is removed entirely on "Clear all" or uninstall. Data collected by AdMob and Firebase is retained and deletable per Google's policies linked above.

6. Children's Privacy

Notivault is intended for general audiences aged 18+. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date and noted in the App's release notes.
