This Privacy Policy explains how the Recreation Technologies Team ("we", "us", "our")
handles information in connection with the FBget mobile application (the "App"). FBget lets
you download publicly available videos by pasting or sharing a video link. We are committed to protecting your
privacy and have designed the App to collect as little personal information as possible.
Summary: FBget does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do
not collect your name, email, or contact list. Your download history is stored only on your own device and is
never uploaded to us. The only data leaving your device is the video link you choose to download (sent to our
server to find the downloadable file) and standard advertising/analytics data collected by Google AdMob and
Google Play Services.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Information you provide
Video links (URLs). When you paste a link into the App, or share a link to the App from
another app, that URL is sent to our server so we can locate the corresponding downloadable video file. We
use the link only to perform this lookup. We do not require, request, or store your social media login
credentials, and the App cannot access any private or login-protected content.
1.2 Information stored only on your device
Download history. Details of videos you have downloaded (title, thumbnail image URL,
selected quality, file location on your device, file size, and date) are saved in a local database on your
device. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is deleted when you clear your
history or uninstall the App.
Downloaded video files. Videos you download are saved to your device's storage (e.g. the
Downloads folder). We never receive copies of these files.
1.3 Information collected automatically by third parties
To keep the App free, we display advertising and use standard app services. The third-party services below may
automatically collect certain information from your device:
Google AdMob (advertising) may collect a device advertising identifier, IP address, and
general device/usage information to serve and measure ads.
Google Play Services (in-app updates and in-app review prompts) may process device and
diagnostic information necessary to deliver those features.
2. How We Use Information

3. App Permissions
Internet & Network State — required to look up and download videos and to load ads.
Storage (Android 9 and below only) — used to save downloaded videos to your device's
storage. On Android 10 and above, no storage permission is requested because the App uses the system's
scoped storage.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as follows:
With our server — the video link you submit is processed by our backend solely to find the
downloadable file.
With service providers — Google AdMob and Google Play Services, as described above, process
data under their own privacy policies.
For legal reasons — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
On-device data (download history and files) is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Video links sent to our server are used only to process your request and are not used to build a profile of you.
Third-party data is retained according to the providers' own policies.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Clear your data at any time by deleting items from your download history or uninstalling the App.
Reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us using
the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
FBget is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do
not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal
information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS)
connections where applicable. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot
guarantee absolute security.
10. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
FBget is a tool for downloading videos for personal, lawful use. You are responsible for ensuring you have the
right to download any content and for complying with the terms of service of the platform the content comes
from and with applicable copyright laws. FBget is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facebook,
Meta Platforms, Inc., or any other platform.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated
"Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised
policy.
